Being a C.S. Engineering student, everyone thought of building a cool website for themselves or for their start ups. So, You have to get a start, right ? Yupp !!

It didn’t go how I expected it to be. I was thinking of a full science fiction type of website with 3-D animations and out of the world interactions. But Hey, being naive is the first step towards mastering things. So here is my journey from knowing only few HTML tags upto a full responsive website. Check it here.

  • Beginning

As a beginner, i did what almost any of you would do, Searched on Google for making first website. And guess what it suggested me ? Wix.com 🤦, Ughh ! these ads. It was no where near my expectations, I wanted to write code not just Drag & Drop things. So I got on Youtube, And the typical Indian Guy suggested me to check out w3schools.com. But, Nahh Reading was toooo Boring .🤷.

  • Searched Udemy

Then, I searched Udemy for web Development courses and yes I found one of the best courses for web Development, at least compared to YT Courses.

  • More About Course

The course was taught by Angela Yu, a really talented & nice teacher ❤️. Her way of teaching & the course content was in resonance. Everything about that course was so fascinating. It taught me basics but also give me a walk through the expert aspects of every topic to explore by myself. Did a handful of projects in that course, We’ll talk about them later blogs.😏

  • TinDog - My First Website

The idea isn’t mine, its Angela’s 😁.

It was 10 days in the course when this projects starts. The main aim was to create a website, that is responsive. So that it can look good on every type of devices. From desktop to mobile devices. For this we were using the library 'Bootstrap’.

I finished the project in just 1 day, yupp it was that easy 🤭.

  • Conclusion

It may seem really easy now. But at that time, I was struggling to get my div aligned in center of another div 🤣. But the project was really fun to make, and i learnt lot about color schemes and contrast of a website to make it stand out of the crowd.

I may have come deep inside the web development, still I can never my first website. → http://rishabhrathore.me/tindog
